Mrs Sikha P P is a doctoral researcher at the department of Linguistics at the Central University of Kerala. She qualified for the prestigious UGC NET exam in 2023. She holds an MA in Linguistics from the Central University of Kerala and a BA in English Language and Literature from the University of Calicut. Her academic interests focus on sociolinguistics, language variation, language documentation and preservation of lesser known languages, language contact and convergence, sociophonetics, dialectal studies, and more. Currently, she contributes to language documentation and preservation initiatives at SPPEL, with a particular focus on the Mannan language
